Coming Soon: The Hamilton
The Project
This 1904 Chicago Victorian survived a developer renovation with many of its best features intact and a family ready to inject some much needed personality into the blank slate. The bones were great, the proportions generous, and the potential undeniable. The scope was the first floor; entryway, living room, dining room, family room, dining nook, and back entryway - the hardworking spaces that make up the heart of a home.
The Inspo
The architecture and the clients informed each other equally here, which is exactly how it should be. The Victorian bones that survived set the tone, full of quiet potential, and the family's personality pushed it somewhere bolder and more colorful. Custom built-ins in the living room anchor the space with function and character, seamlessly integrating with the home's original fireplace for one of the project's most striking moments. Bold wallpaper, statement furniture, and vintage pieces did the rest.
The Client
This warm, family-focused couple came to the project with a lot of heart, great taste, and a shared commitment to getting the design just right. They had a young daughter, a beautiful home, and a deep desire to create a space that felt like them, a place to put down roots and grow their young family. Every choice was made together, and the result is a main floor that feels entirely, unmistakably theirs.
